In this unit plan, the approach to teaching entrepreneurial spirit is to focus instruction on experiential learning, collaborative investigation, and application of knowledge. The skills associated with entrepreneurship are reinforced throughout this course through group work and real-world examples. In this unit, the goal is for students to create a comprehensive, justified expansion plan for a business.

There are three paths for completing the material; choose the one that works for your classroom based on time available, number of students participating, and student ability level.

This guide contains 10 lesson plans with supporting information, student worksheets, and project details, as well as assessment questions and rubrics. Overall, this course guide has approximately 23 hours of learning and project work. This course is specific to Alberta's Career and Technology Studies course for Enterprise and Innovation offered at the High School level.
